Help Us Build Hope

As child abuse numbers increase each year, so too has Hope House's need for more space to serve victims and their families. Hope House provides hope, healing and justice for local child abuse and trafficking victims in St. Tammany and Washington Parish. In 2024, as we commemorated our organization’s 30th anniversary, we officially kicked off a campaign to expand our Covington headquarters – a need that has grown exponentially over the past several years. This new building will be named "Brooke's Place" in honor of the late Brooke E. Posey, daughter of Brooke It Forward Foundation founders Todd and Marie Gregory, who are longtime supporters of Hope House.

Brooke’s Place will allow us to provide more therapy, more community training, and a seamless integration for simultaneous forensic interviews. The building will be constructed on land that we currently own directly next door to our existing headquarters. The total cost of the project is approximately $500,000, and we hope to be able to open the doors by the fall of 2026.

Currently, Hope House staff and multidisciplinary team regularly face challenging situations where families and law enforcement agencies have to wait on one another because multiple agencies need to utilize the space at the same time. Our desire is to create more space so that abused children and their families can enjoy the highest level of privacy and comfort, and the fastest possible response in their time of need. Additionally, having more space for therapy and community training will ensure that our children's needs are met in the most sensitive manner, while also allowing us to increase abuse prevention education and training opportunities for the community at large.

No child’s family is ever charged for the services they receive at Hope House. Likewise, the abuse prevention training we provide to the community is also free of charge. None of this important work would be possible without generous supporters like you. Please stand with us in the local fight against child abuse and help us build hope in the lives of the children we serve.
