We sat down with Gia Baker to discuss what supporting Hope House means to her.
Q: What motivated you to get involved with Hope House?
A: “According to national statistics, 1 in every 10 children will be abused before their 18th birthday. As traumatic as being a child victim is, knowing that Hope House is there to transform victims into survivors gives hope to our community. Hope House is, quite literally, giving children back their childhood. Furthermore, the organization actively works to prevent child abuse and to bring perpetrators to justice. The strong working relationship between Hope House, local law enforcement and the DA’s office sends the message that child abuse will not be tolerated in St. Tammany and Washington parishes.”
Q: How does it feel to know that you’re empowering local children through your support?
A: “If Baker Pile Driving can make a difference in the life of at least one child who has been abused by investing our time and treasure, our return on that investment is priceless. It cannot be adequately measured.”
Q: What is special about Baker Pile Driving?
A: “Our company is unique and special because our business was built from the ground up. After many successful years in the business, Robert continues to be hands-on. In fact, there is a better chance of finding him working in the field than in the office. Robert’s hands-on involvement contributes to an excellent relationship he has established with our employees and the customers we serve.”
