Hope House is honored to announce its community partnership with Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Co.! Deeply rooted in the local communities in which it serves, Gulf Coast Bank showcases local nonprofits with their annual Auctions in August event, volunteerism, and sponsorships. The bank has been an avid supporter of Hope House for several years, raising awareness by participating in our events, and by educating key decision makers in our community on the issue of child abuse.
We sat down with Kim Carver, Gulf Coast Bank Senior VP Government Relations and Human Resources, to discuss what supporting Hope House means to him and his company.
Q: What motivated or compelled Gulf Coast Bank to get involved with Hope House specifically?
A: “Hope House’s leadership and the mission really motivated us to become involved. We believe that protecting our kids is vital for everyone’s future!”
Q: How does it feel to know that you’ve helped empower local children, through your giving, with healing and recovery following trauma?
A: “We are so grateful for everything the Hope House, law enforcement, and our justice system does every day to support and empower the youth of our community – what a blessing!”
Q: What is the most striking or impactful thing you’ve noticed about Hope House since starting your relationship with this organization?
A: “Learning about how many times it is someone a child knows and trust who inflicts abuse was really eye-opening. It was also striking to learn just how many children receive care annually from St. Tammany and Washington Parish.”
